This is my one man attempt to turn the global tide of social networking backwards in time..........back to blogging. I'm confident that the Facebook fad will end in a matter of time - just like the MySpace and Blogger fads, and that the human herd will move on to the next "great" and innovative social site...but I just don't have the patience to sit around and wait for that day to com.
Specifically I just can't stand the Facebook layout/concept.......I find it extremely annoying; random people randomly posting random thoughts does not intrigue me in the slightest. I want to hear stories, see pictures, and read something more thought provoking than "I just had a wonderful B.M."........unless, of course, there is a picture attached, and it happens to be a flourescent green BM.
In all truth, more than anything, I'm upset that my wife abandoned her beautifully authored blog for the Facebook fiasco. Not that the blog died, but it has been in its comotose state since the spring of 2009. In fact that is one reason why I value blogging - it is a perpetual journal that will live forever.
Its this thought that gives birth to this page - this being the preamble to what I hope will become an autobiographical account of my life past and present. I'm not sure how it will all come together or even how succesfull I will be in blog editing - but, and I like to use the word but, I'm here and I'm trying.!!
